I'm an AGD sister who enjoyed Joan from the first time we meet! She had a great sense of humor! My husband and I traveled with Joan and Dale and had a great time! She loved her family that is for sure and I'm sure you will miss her dearly!

Dale, Kathy, Liz, and all of Joan's family, this wonderful woman will be sorely missed. She was such a vibrant, happy, energetic friend who did so much good for others during her lifetime. I hold special memories with her: tailgating at ASU games, Christmas gatherings at the Charles' home on Junniper, brunches with our teacher friends, and, of course, our wonderful (and hilarious) trip to Egypt together. There are more recollections flooding my mind right now, but for today, I will concentrate on being thankful for the life of this amazing woman and on wishing her dear ones peaceful hearts.

Aka (with your mom) known as “Joan Jr.”. She would call and say this is “Joan Sr”. My heart will be with all of you tomorrow. Joan was a fun loving person. Loved her stories and her laughter. She once gave me some words of wisdom and advice which has gotten me through the past few years. God love her.... she will be missed. She was so proud of her daughters and her grandchildren, and their significant others. I am glad I was able to know her and spend time with her. Most of all call her family.
Love to you all Joni

Deepest condolences to Joan's family. Such a pleasure to have known and loved her as one of my Alpha Gamma Delta sisters. I treasure the memories and many conversations. Serious discussions and many laughs.

So very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. In times of this nature, all of us need encouragement and comfort, how we appreciate those who lovingly offer it! Comforting implies taking time to listen, understand, and help. I pray that you find that with your ‘family and friends’ as well as the promises of Jesus at Luke 23:43 where he said: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.” A better place.
