Phoenix, Arizona - Sandra Marie "Sandy" Lessard

July 9, 1954 - July 27, 2023

Sandra Marie "Sandy" Lessard was born on July 9, 1954, to Sue and Raymond Lessard.She is survived by her daughter, Victoria; siblings Doreen, Rayleen, Daniel ("Danny"), and Raymond Jr. ("Ray Ray"); and her best friend Susan, who was closer than blood. In her final years, Sandy, Susan, and Victoria were inseparable, proving that family is built on love, not just lineage.

Sandy was an artist through and through, a painter, singer, and cook whose creations carried soul and memory. She even designed her elder sister's wedding dress, a testament to her talent and wit. But her greatest work was motherhood. In April 1992, she adopted her beloved daughter, Victoria, and though the road was not always easy, her love never wavered.

In her last chapter, Sandy faced pancreatic cancer with courage. Choosing home hospice gave her and Victoria peace, so much love, and moments that will be cherished forever. Together, they the space and tree that now marks/is her final resting place. This space is everything she and her daughter envisioned it would be. A living memorial to a woman of resilience, loyalty, and rare magic.
